Sarah graduated from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities with a B.S. in interior design in 2019, but her love for design began long before that. As a child, she loved repurposing her parents' recyclables and any scrap materials she could find around the house to create rooms and furniture for her dolls. She would spend hours designing homes for her Sims characters on the computer, only to hand the game off to her sister to actually play. Her mom even saved a note Sarah wrote in elementary school, declaring that when she grew up, she was going to be an interior designer. Her dad was a bricklayer, and she loved accompanying him to his weekend side jobs, watching him build while she found small projects to do at the job sites. Her mom worked for Bachman’s for 17 years as a sales + interior designer, so it's safe to say that Sarah's love for design runs in her blood, nurtured by her parents' talents.
Sarah’s favorite projects are those where she can be involved from the very beginning of the build process. She has a keen eye for functional layouts and space planning, and she loves contributing throughout the entire process of building and designing a home, from determining wall placements to selecting the perfect accent pillow fabric.
Sarah has been fortunate to travel across the U.S. and to several countries, even living abroad in Okinawa, Japan, for 3 years with her husband. While there, they welcomed their son and adopted a dog to bring back to the states. She currently resides in San Diego County but often travels back to her home state of Minnesota. Sarah is a people person who loves meeting others, hearing their stories, and helping each client incorporate their unique personalities and what makes them happiest into their homes.
